This will take place on Wednesday 11th March at a local CrossFit Affiliate close by the following competition.
We are very excited to announce the first in person seminar solely devoted to developing and growing your judging skills! This seminar will involve a multi hour in person workshop that will be hosted at a local affiliate.
What you can expect from this fully immersive judging course:
Standard operating procedures for all high-level events you can expect to encounter
Scorecard tutorials
Online Competitions / Qualifiers
Athlete command and control during live events
Team considerations
Breakout sessions for simulated judging with prior CrossFit Games-Level athletes
Instructor and peer direct feedback during breakout sessions
With our continued partnership with the PFAA, we will have elite-level athletes joining us to help with our breakout sessions as we work through judging professional athletes moving “at speed”. We are very grateful for their continued support in helping to facilitate this event and provide resources necessary to create a productive learning experience.
Attendees will be evaluated on their performance in the days that follow and given a Pass/Fail rating post event. Getting a “Pass” rating will enable the judge to use the title “AFJ Certified Judge” for future partnerships with events.
Evaluation to follow at WZA Miami from 12th - 15th March 2026
